Keep 'em outta yo account! Seriously though, adding password strength requirements is a good practice in terms of security. It goes a long way in keeping unauthorized users out of your account whether they are guessing password via manual or automated means.
- Require an uppercase, lowercase, and number to be included
- Require a special character to be included
- Enable password history so users can't reuse passwords
- Block users from including their personal or account name in their passwords
- Check passwords against a list of passwords that are known to be weak
